Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.

SASSA might be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it is alarmed about the significant quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office committed to service the area daily. The service stage developed for intervention encounters a large influx of likely beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for your office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out website programme, SASSA will mobilise much more resources to enable the servicing of all prospects and maximize usage of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
